[Verse 1: Buoy] No I don’t wanna miss out So the mission is to dip out What’s your status? What’s the damage? I’m about to flip out Get the Uber, hit the nae nae I’m about to whip out Gone drive me fucking crazy Just thinking of being left out So grab another Solo And tag me in those photos No filters, no fillers My crew look so killer They tell us we should keep it down Ain’t no time for sleeping now Maybe I’m just freaking out So I’m singing like [Pre-Chorus: Buoy] If you tryna turn it up I can’t turn you down Everybody going up Everybody going out If you tryna turn it up I can’t turn you down I’m afraid of missing out Afraid of missing out [Chorus: Buoy] I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing out, afraid of missing out [Verse 2: Seis] I can’t stand sitting and waiting The clock keep ticking, rotating So if you wishing you wasting Stop, go and get it and take it No sense in stressing, regretting So just forgive and forget it It only hurts if you let it And it gets worse by second Like what's the worse that could happen? If I look back and start asking Like what the fuck was I after? Well guess what it doesn’t matter Live for the moment and own it Live in the present just open it Don’t be hesitant go for it This is it, make the most of it [Pre-Chorus: Buoy] If you tryna turn it up I can’t turn you down Everybody going up Everybody going out If you tryna turn it up I can’t turn you down I’m afraid of missing out Afraid of missing out [Chorus: Buoy] I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing out, afraid of missing out [Bridge: Seis & Buoy] I got too many options, you know I got em I got too many options, so what’s the problem? I got too many options, you know I got em I got way too many options, so what’s the problem? I got too many options, you know I got em I got too many options, so what’s the problem? I got too many options, you know I got em I got way too many options, so what’s the problem? [Pre-Chorus: Buoy] They tell me I should give it up But I just wanna live it up They tell me I should let it go So I just wanna let em know Cause I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing out, afraid of missing out [Chorus: Buoy] I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out Yeah I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing out, afraid of missing out Yeah I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out Yeah I’m afraid of missing ah ah ah out I’m afraid of missing out, afraid of missing out

about

On their debut EP, titled “In Real Life,” Chicago-based duo High Rule continue to defy genres with their unique blend of hip-hop, electronic, and pop production. Their dynamic voices, which pair Seis’ fierce rapping and Buoy’s singsong flow, combine to tell a story of today’s online-driven world. Tackling themes that include instant gratification, social anxiety, and digital romance, High Rule showcases deft songwriting across their vibrant seven-track EP. As catchy as it is thoughtful, “In Real Life” is intended to make you think and dance at the same time, all to the beat of High Rule’s uncommon drum.

about

High Rule Chicago, Illinois

High Rule is an indie-leaning hip-hop duo from Chicago, comprised of artists Seis and Buoy. Although the two became childhood friends over their mutual love of The Legend Of Zelda (which later inspired their name), it wasn’t until they reconnected at the University of Wisconsin that they began to make music together. Their unique voice brews together hip-hop, electronic, and pop music. ... more
